I didn't encounter any bugs in the game, but the editor does have a few plus some feedback : The exits can not be removed can only be removed by re-setting the map size When one blob moves into a portal and the other one dies in the same move, then the blob in the portal will be gone in the editor window and you have to place a new one.
There is no option to link two portals. I guess that it works automatically, but there is also no indication of which portals are linked. The exits can only be placed at the top. It would be nice if they can also be placed on the sides. The created levels cannot be saved. Ofcourse it is awesome that there is an editor. Deleted post 2 years ago. With spacecraft faster and more advanced than any that had been conceived of so far, a large pilgrimage set out from the earth into the cosmos in search of intelligent life.
The journey, however, bore no fruit. After more than half a century, the interstellar spaceship had discovered nothing but rocks and dust. However, everything was about to change. First contact was not a peaceful, mutually beneficial ordeal, as had been hoped. Though they did not exceed a thousand in number, their technological might was such that the entire state of New York was laid to waste in weeks.
However, hopelessly outnumbered as they were, the aliens could not advance any further and were wiped out. The attack left humanity bewildered. Questions swirled around in the mind of every earth-dweller: what were these hostiles? What did they want? And, most importantly, why? Why had they assaulted humanity in such a quick, decisive move, with not even an attempt to communicate? One thing was certain, however- a main alien force existed. And they would be back to finish the job.
Over the coming years, humanity prepared. Aside from bolstering their own defenses, they also studied everything they could of the invaders: Their biology, their weaponry, their behavioral patterns. It became quickly obvious that the alien assault did not consist of independently operating individuals- they were far too coordinated for that. As humanity discovered, the invaders had been infected by a fungal organism that had united all their minds under its will- forming a collective entity.
This being came to be known as the HiveMind, and it was speculated that the entire population of the invaders was subject to its control. What humanity did not realize was that the alien home planet was not far from earth. In fact, it too existed in the milky-way galaxy. The original explorer-pilgrims had looked too far, thinking to find life outside their galaxy and not within it. The aliens were called the Agraxians, once a proud and developed species.
Recklessly using his loyal bee subjects, he can take back what once belonged to him before the wild life and Hazmats eliminate him once and for all. None shall usurp him of his power!
Hivemind was made in 48 hours for the Stay Safe Jam, revolving around the given theme of 'Solidarity'. As the theme implies, working together is the main idea behind most mechanics. The player is at their strongest when they have lots of bees, and can do very little when alone. Join forces with more and more bees as you go along and conquer as one! The OST can be found here.
